Join us for a Flower Crown Workshop. The workshop is taught by returning instructor Judith Pozos. In this workshop, you will learn which blooms and foliage work best for a headpiece. You will learn tips and techniques to properly construct this type of design traditionally worn by Catrinas.Participants are invited to bring their own embellishments to further personalize their headpiece.

About our workshop Instructor: Judith Pozos
Judith Rangel-Pozos has volunteered at the Sherman Heights Community Center for many years. She has helped the center with their monthly food bank and is a member of the Day of the Dead steering committee. Judith's dedication and passion for arts and crafts, has contributed to the growth of our Day of the Dead Celebration. She has helped with our community altar, the procession, and leading workshops such as “Los Nichos” and Flower Crowns. Judith is a wife and mother to two boys.
Please note that the safety and health of our staff and community members is a priority. Masks will be required for all who participate in Día de los Muertos in-person indoor offerings, including vaccinated visitors. Masks are strongly encouraged for our outdoors offerings, with the exception of our “Candle-light Procession” which will be a masked event for all participants.

Únase a nosotros para un taller de coronas de flores. El taller es impartido por la instructora Judith Pozos. En este taller aprenderá qué flores y follaje funcionan mejor para un tocado. Aprenderá consejos y técnicas para construir correctamente este tipo de diseño tradicionalmente usado por Catrinas. Se invita a los participantes a traer sus propios adornos para personalizar aún más su tocado.

Judith Rangel-Pozos ha sido voluntaria en el Centro Comunitario de Sherman Heights durante muchos años.
