Join us for Día de los Muertos Face Painting for Beginners. The workshop is taught by returning artist Elizabeth Piña. In this workshop, you will learn how to create a beautiful traditional catrina/catrin make-up, as used throughout Mexico during our Día de los Muertos Celebrations, itself a millennial tradition.
Space is limited so make sure to reserve your spot! No walk-ins.

About our workshop Instructor: Elizabeth Piña
Mrs. Piña has a Bachelor's Degree from San Diego State University in Applied Arts and Sciences with an emphasis in Graphic Design and earned a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit. She grew up in sunny Mexicali, Mexico. She immigrated to San Diego when she was nine years old. She has an older sister Alma and a younger brother Ruben. Elizabeth is happily happily married to Jorge Piña and has a daughter and son.
Please note that the safety and health of our staff and community members is a priority. Masks will be required for all who participate in Día de los Muertos in-person indoor offerings, including vaccinated visitors. Masks are strongly encouraged for our outdoors offerings, with the exception of our “Candle-light Procession” which will be a masked event for all participants.

Sobre nuestro taller Instructora: Elizabeth Piña
La Sra. Piña tiene una licenciatura de la Universidad Estatal de San Diego en Artes y Ciencias Aplicadas con énfasis en Diseño Gráfico y obtuvo un Permiso de Supervisora de Sitio de Desarrollo Infantil. Creció en la soleada Mexicali, México. Emigró a San Diego cuando tenía nueve años. Tiene una hermana mayor, Alma, y un hermano menor, Rubén. Elizabeth está felizmente casada con Jorge Piña y tiene una hija y un hijo.
