Club Amistad is led by a group of community “abuelitas” who have been instrumental in making the program a success. Over the years they have volunteered throughout the neighborhood — spending time with young kids during afterschool hours, helping at food distributions, fundraising for field trips, and advocating for the community center since its inception.
