If so, then we invite you to participate in Sherman Cocina!

Free course in Spanish aimed at providing culinary techniques, necessary permits, and basic business knowledge to start and/or formalize a food business (catering, home-based food businesses, street vendors, etc.)

Sherman Cocina is ideal for anyone interested in launching or growing a career in the culinary field or in developing practical kitchen skills.

Program Highlights

  • Participants will receive training and the opportunity to take official certification tests, preparing them for careers in the food service industry, including MEHKOs, catering, and pop-ups/market.

  • Learn essential cooking techniques, food safety practices, and efficient kitchen operations to build practical, hands-on experience.

  • Showcase your culinary creations at a local community event, gaining experience in a supportive setting.

    • In-person course

    • Thursdays from March 12th to April 30th, from 11 am to 2 pm, plus May 5th

    • Course will be conducted primarily in Spanish
