Club Amistad

“Club Amistad” promotes healthy aging among seniors in our community with a variety of enrichment activities such as lotería, golden zumba, birthday celebrations, field trips, and more. 

The program is led by a group of hardworking community “abuelitas” who have been instrumental in making the program a success throughout the years. 

Over the years Club Amistad members have volunteered in the community spending time with young kids during head start hours, during food distribution, fundraising for field trips, and even advocating for the community center since its inception.  

The program has been running at the Sherman Heights Community Center since 1998. 

Club Amistad friendships extend beyond the program.

Club Amistad takes place Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30am-12pm.
