Sherman Cocina
Community Culinary Training Program
Launched in 2024, Sherman Cocina supports our communities’ entrepreneurship spirit with a robust workforce development program for small businesses in the culinary arts. The program complements current adult education offerings with a free 10-week small business incubator course aimed at home cooks and working-class food entrepreneurs wanting to launch, formalize and/or grow their own successful food retail business.
The program provides the culinary tools to inspire and empower community members to share their foods and grow their own food-based business. This program is a collaborative effort between the Pan y Paz Collective, Via International and the Sherman Heights Community Center.
